Support and assistance from community volunteers allows Tedford Housing to continue to provide services to our neighbors. Our programs and services assist those who depend on us when they are cold and experiencing homelessness or are in danger of losing their housing.
Whether you have a few hours once in a while or once a week; whether you want to come alone or bring your team, office staff, or family; there are volunteer opportunities for you. We would love to match you with one that fits your interests and schedule.
Some volunteer positions require background checks and training.

Regular Volunteer Opportunities:
Volunteers help support Tedford Housing year-round. Below are a few ways to get involved:
- Prepare a Monthly Meal for our Meal-A-Month program*
- Spring, Summer, and Fall Gardening at the Adult or Family Shelter.
- Host a Drive for Tedford’s wish list.
- Become a volunteer interviewer for Warm Thy Neighbor emergency fuel assistance program, which runs seasonally from November through March.
- Help in the Administrative Office.
*Currently, there are no Meal-a-Month openings – If you are interested in this volunteer opportunity we can add your name to the list for when openings do become available.
