  • Tedford Housing is seeking a motivated, proven, operational manager to supervise the day-to-day operations of our emergency shelter located in Brunswick, Maine. Must have experience in staff supervision and familiarity and sensitivity to the challenges and issues faced by people experiencing unsheltered and unhoused living conditions.  

    The Day Shelter Manager will be responsible for the overall safety and security of guests of the shelter and oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the shelter in collaboration with the Evening Shelter Manager.

    This is a 40-hour a week, benefitted position, with a pay rate of $26 per hour.

  • Tedford Housing is currently hiring multiple temporary, unbenefited full-time and part-time evening and overnight Warming Center Support Staff. We are looking for organized and energetic team members demonstrating good judgment, a positive attitude, flexibility, and a commitment to the mission of Tedford to empower people to move from homelessness to home. 

    This position offers flexibility with shifts from 3:45 pm to 12:00 am or 11:45 pm to 8:15 am and is ideal for a person who is looking for three to five shifts per week and for those looking to begin or to expand their experience and skills in a human services setting.  

    The Warming Center will be open from November 15, 2025, through April 30, 2026, seven nights a week, including holidays.  

    Support Staff will be expected to participate in mandatory orientation on November 13 and 14, 2025, and the position will end April 30, 2026.  

    The Warming Center Support Staff position is a temporary, unbenefited position at a rate of pay of $21.00 per hour with a $2/hour overnight shift differential for staff working the 11:45pm-8:15am shift.

    Hiring Bonus of $1,000 for full-time positions and $500 for part-time positions. Bonus to be paid upon successful completion of employment for the full duration of the Warming Center operating season.

  • Tedford Housing is seeking per diem, part-time and full-time shelter support staff to join our emergency shelter team in Brunswick. 

    Acting in a direct-service role, this position will support a safe and secure environment for all guests, contribute to the program by engaging with guests, assist with house activities, and ensure that house rules and guidelines are followed. Shelter support staff conduct initial intakes for guests, maintain basic client records and provide orientation for those entering the shelter. Shelter staff are also responsible for light cleaning duties and organization of commons spaces. 

    The shelter is 365 days a year, 24 hours a day.  

    Tedford is hiring for daytime, evening and overnight shifts, and each support staff member is required to work on at least one weekend day as part of their regular schedule. 

    The per diem and part-time positions are a non-benefitted position, with a rate of pay of $21/hour with a 3rd overnight shift differential of $2/hour.

    The full-time positions are benefited for staff working 32 hours+, with a rate of pay of $21/hour with a 3rd overnight shift differential of $2/hour.
