“Home is wherever there is family, friends, understanding and love.” ~ Patrick, shelter guest
What does “home” mean to you? To many of Tedford’s emergency shelter guests, supportive housing tenants and homeless prevention clients, home means safety, love and hope.
And yet so many of our neighbors – adults, teens and whole families – live without the simple comfort of a stable roof over their heads. Some may be facing eviction or temporarily living in their cars, while others may be couch surfing or staying at our emergency shelter as they search for affordable housing.
All of our neighbors deserve to have a safe and affordable place to call home.
Tedford Housing received gifts from more than 500 individual supporters last year. These donations are critical for us to continue to respond to the growing needs of our community members. Will you join our generous donors in supporting Tedford Housing’s efforts to guide our neighbors from homeless to home?
Tedford Housing has responded to the needs of the community for 30 years. We are now serving more people outside of our facilities with homeless prevention services – 450 indviduals last fiscal year – than in our emergency shelters and supportive housing. There are many successes to celebrate, like the 81% of families who found permanent housing after exiting from our family shelter or the 39 month average length of stay by previously homeless individuals in our six supported apartments, both numbers well over national averages.
If you have already made a gift to Tedford Housing this year, we thank you. If not, we hope you will join us in our mission to find lasting solutions to the challenges of homelessness. You can donate securely online at weblink.donorperfect.com/tedfordhousing.
