Seeking Donations for the 2018 Christmas Store

November 15, 2018 By Rota Knott Leave a Comment

Tedford Housing is partnering with Pathway Vineyard Church once again to make the Christmas Store available to families in need. Last year, a whopping total of 205 individuals that Tedford serves benefited from this partnership.

Thanks to all of the wonderful donors from last year’s holiday effort with Pathway Vineyard Church, 46 families (including 56 adults and 99 children) were able to “shop” in the Christmas store. In addition, 34 individuals in our supportive housing and outreach services and 16 shelter guests benefited from this community partnership. Individuals, schools, companies and other supporters came together to make sure our guests and clients were able to enjoy things like warm blankets, dish sets, hats and mittens, and, of course, toys for the kids on Christmas morning.

Families have the opportunity to “shop” the store at no cost to them. Kids are also be able to shop for parents in a special area. There will be fun crafts, Christmas movies, coffee, hot cocoa, and other treats while families wait their turn to shop. Everyone will get equal access to gifts and have the opportunity to have their gifts wrapped.

To help stock the free store for parents and kids in need, we are looking for the following donations of new items:

Towels & Washcloths
Blankets (twin & queen)
Sheet Sets
Pillows
Pots & Pans
Dish Sets
Dish Towels
Hats & Mittens
Socks
Stocking Stuffers
Toys
Gift Cards

New, unwrapped items can be donated to Tedford Housing by Thursday, December 6th. Items can be dropped off at Tedford’s administrative office (14 Middle Street, Brunswick) between 9am and 4pm, Monday – Thursday.

To support our families during the holidays or to set up a donation drop off,
