
According to the agenda published on the Town of Brunswick’s website, “The Planning Board will hold a public hearing and provide a recommendation to the Town Council on a Zoning Ordinance Amendment for homeless shelters in accordance with Chapter 12.2-5 of the Brunswick Code of Ordinances.” This will be the third item on the agenda for the Brunswick Planning Board meeting on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at 7:00pm in the council chambers at the Brunswick Town Hall at 85 Union Street.
The Planning Board held a series of three workshops to discuss the proposed zoning ordinance text amendments for homeless shelters to date. These meetings were held on November 13, November 27, and December 11, 2018 (see links to packets below). The Planning Board set a date for the January 8th public hearing at the December 11, 2018 meeting.
In addition, the Planning Board will make its recommendations to the Town Council regarding changes to the Shelter Task Force’s “recommendations and additional topics of discussion for the Town Council’s consideration.” These final recommendations from the Planning Board can be found in the link to the packet below.
