Meal-A-Month Program

One of the most important and longest running volunteer efforts at Tedford Housing is the Meal-A-Month program. Restaurants, churches, neighborhood groups, individuals and others take turns providing a meal for guests at the adult shelter at 49 Cumberland Street in Brunswick every single night of the year.

We ask volunteers to provide a nutritious meal for 20 people. Most meals include a main course, vegetable and/or salad, bread/starch, and sometimes fruit or desert and condiments (salad dressing, butter, etc.). The meal is served at 5pm and can be delivered to the shelter at 49 Cumberland Street in Brunswick before 8:30am or after 3:30pm.

If you are interested in preparing or delivering a dinner monthly or on a one-time basis, contact Tedford’s meal coordinator, Joanne Rosenthal, at 207-725-6301 or 207-841-6188 or email. You can view the Meal-A-Month calendar here.
