Volunteers are critical to Tedford Housing’s operations.
Are you interested in cooking and serving a meal? Fundraising? Office work? Yard work? Painting? Collecting supplies? We could use your help!
We are also interested in volunteers who might be available “on call” to help us pick up and move furniture from donors’ homes to our shelters or client apartments. We have a cargo van, but could use the extra muscle.
Volunteers under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times at Tedford facilities. Student groups can often assist with yard work, painting or collecting supplies.
Contact Jennifer Iacovelli via email or call 207-729-1161, #101 to volunteer or discuss an idea you have to support Tedford Housing.
One of the most important volunteer efforts at Tedford Housing is the Meal-A-Month Program. Restaurants, churches, neighborhood groups and others take turns providing a hot meal for guests at the adult shelter on Cumberland Street in Brunswick.
If you are interested in preparing, delivering and/or serving a dinner monthly or on a one-time basis, please contact Tedford’s meal coordinator, Joanne Rosenthal at 207-725-6301 or 207-841-6188 or email@example.com.
