Tedford Housing Receives Dirigo Award for Nonprofit Excellence!
The Maine Association of Nonprofits (MANP) has named Tedford Housing as one of the 2008 recipient of the Dirigo Award for Nonprofit Excellence.
The award is given to organizations that demonstrate management and outcome excellence in several areas of performance including governance, financial management, communications, strategic partnerships, and fund raising.
Tedford Housing Launches the Family Initiatives Program
Thanks to a major grant from the Edward S. and Winifred G. Moseley Foundation and the JTG Foundation, Tedford Housing has started the Tedford Family Initiatives Program.
In addition to providing capital match for new supportive housing development, the program features:
Outreach and case management services for homeless and at-risk youth.
A set of flexible, wrap-around services designed to meet the individual needs of homeless families.
A Family Support Advocate (FSA) position to provide one-on-one life skills training to include parenting skills, family budgeting, housekeeping, and employment readiness.
