Part of Tedford’s supportive housing philosophy is to give as many sources of support to families and individuals who are transitioning from homelessness to permanent housing. Through our Family Mentoring Program community members are trained as mentors and matched with individuals and families.
The one-on-one relationship between families and mentors can be important in helping people to maintain housing and gain independence. By becoming a mentor, you will have the opportunity to become a teacher, a support person, a listener and a friend to someone who needs it most.
